Who are these people?
Everything you've ever wanted to know about the Professors -- and more!
Don Day has been a force in the Columbus area music scene since the 1960’s, starting at age 12 when he joined Sonny & The Intruders. He went on to play in The Left Drawer, Freestyle and Pear, eventually freelancing and performing solo for many years, including work with local legends The Hipnotics and Phil Dirt & The Dozers. Don brings versatility to the professors, and compliments the other faculty members with his guitar and vocal expertise.
Jim Lynch as been a driving force in the Central Ohio music scene since the mid 1960's, including stints in The Lapse of Time, The Gears, Spittin' Image, The Alligators, The Hipnotics and more! A superior guitarist, singer and front man, Jim's experience dovetails perfectly with the rest of the faculty, and his engaging personality has made him a favorite of "students" everywhere.
Billy Zenn stepped onstage at the age of seven as a ventriloquist, playing more Lions Clubs and Rotary meetings than he can remember. All that changed, though, on the evening The Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. Beginning with his first band and continuing to his current home with the professors, Billy is a performer who means what he says and delivers it every time.
Greg brings a wealth of experience to the professors, including stints with legendary bluesman Willie Pooch, internationally-known organist Tony Monaco, guitarists John Boertsler and Dave Workman, plus Paradise Island, Hank Marr, Jim Lynch, Chip Willis & Yogi Cowan. And he sings!
